Dr. Eva Kantor
Hello, I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst in private practice for over 30 years. My educational background consists of a B.A. from Barnard College, a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University and a Certificate in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis from the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Since completing my formal education, I have been part of study groups on Clinical Issues, Intergenerational Transmission of Trauma, and Understanding Primitive Mental States, as well as others. In addition to my work in my practice, I teach and supervise psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers in training. I have or presently do so at the Mt. Sinai Department of Psychiatry, the Lenox Hill Hospital Department of Psychology, the NYU Postdoctoral Program, the Contemporary Freudian Society, and the City University Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology. I have also received the Lou Linn Award for Teaching Excellence at Mt. Sinai, where I am currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry.
